Day 36 - July 29 Jakarta
Hi folks, welcome back to the blog. The shot above is the view out of our new apartment window from the 31st floor. Quite the view from up here (sorry Amy, for the height). Sherri is excited because there is a larger washer here and she is trying to get all the laundry done before we hit the trail early Monday morning. Oh, and the clothes drying rack is outside on the balcony which just happens to be where the AC units exhaust their heat so that speeds up the drying (see below). We will be leaving on the train Monday for a two week loop of Java (and a couple of night on Bali). This is the part of the trip that we have been looking forward to the most.
Today is time to work on the last sermon for me and get things ready. Tomorrow (Sunday) we will be going to church and dropping off some of our luggage with Pastor Bob to hold for us until we come back through Jakarta in two weeks. So, what exactly do we need .... hmmmm.
Everyone seems to be doing well. We were a little concerned that David would have trouble adjusting to a new place after a month in one spot but he has settled right in over here. Sarah likes that she has her own bedroom and can get a little psychological space from the rest of the family.
That's all for today. Take care - The Conners
